Founder Richard Paganes opened the first Tubby's Sub Shop in 1968 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Each Grinder is made to order using special sauces and marinates in combinations of glazed ham, chicken breasts, sliced sirloin steak, corned beef, tuna, sausages and turkey breasts, with generous portions of cheese and fresh vegetables, all baked in one of three roll varieties.
