Mosquito Shield was conceptualized in 2001 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts by David Briggs. It was clear to Briggs that available mosquito control products like body sprays, candles and mosquito magnets were inadequate, and there was a lack of an effective residential mosquito control service. During the next 15 years, prior to the company's 2012 launch, Briggs and Mosquito Shield developers researched the science behind the life cycle of mosquitoes, tested various application methods and products and determined optimum application frequency. Early testing showed that just applying standard control materials (with water) didn't deliver measurable and consistent results. After further study, Briggs developed a patent-pending barrier spray that, regardless of when started, lasts for weeks and grows in strength as the season progresses. That formula breakthrough led to early success for Mosquito Shield and has put the company at the forefront of outdoor mosquito and tick control.

Training
Before commencing operation of your Mosquito Shield business, company leaders will provide, at no charge, standards and specifications for the operation of a Mosquito Shield business, including requirements for application equipment and other equipment, image, signs and procedures. Initial training for up to three people, including you, your Operations Manager and your technician will also be provided. We will either loan you one paper copy of our Operations Manual or provide you with electronic access to the Operations Manual (via Internet, extranet, or other electronic means) for the term of the franchise agreement upon your completion of our initial training program.
Support
Mosquito Shield will make available for sale to you the Mosquito Shield Protection Blend and other products designated for use in the franchise system at the current market price. Mosquito Shield will also provide you with a list of initial equipment and related
products and accessories for the Mosquito Shield business for purchase from our affiliate or a supplier we designate and we will permit you to use our custom required software.
With two franchise opportunities available, potential investors have the flexibility to chose the option that’s right for them. Either through a new, start-up franchise or a pest control business conversion program, both franchise options are optional business models and come with a variety of support from the franchisor. New franchise owners will be provided with optional ongoing training opportunities, along with advertising advantages and promotional materials associated with the Mosquito Shield name. For operational purposes, van customization is also available at a cost through the franchise agreement. Both franchise models offer the revolutionary Mosquito Shield Protection Blend, for optimal mosquito and tick control and eradication.
