Thursday, September 22, 2005

A City priding itself on letting the good times roll recently found itself overwhelmed by hardships caused by Hurricane Katrina. Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco said “It's just heartbreaking. The devastation is greater than our worst fears.” Mr. Hero Restaurants have joined forces with 16,000 restaurants across the nation in “The Dine for America ” Program in a nationwide effort that will raise millions of dollars to support those affected by Hurricane Katrina and Rita. Since the disaster in New Orleans and through the end of October, all Mr. Hero locations are accepting monetary donations with 100% of those funds raised going directly to the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross is one of the most highly regarded organizations for turning the public's compassion into action with these disasters representing the largest mobilization in the Red Cross's and our nation's history.

Margaret Mead said, “Never doubt the small groups of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” Stop by a Mr. Hero location today ~ your participation will make a difference.
