Crescent City offers authentic New Orleans cuisine in a relaxed French Quarter atmosphere. The three foods most often associated with New Orleans - beignets & caf au lait, po-boy sandwiches and Creole dishes such as gumbo, red beans and rice and etouffe are the highlights of the menu that also includes panini sandwiches, authentic bread pudding, fried and grilled seafood dinner platters, appetizers, beer, wine and frozen hurricanes. The Memphis Crescent City is owned by Dr Kenneth and Regina Williams along with partners Dr. Dwight and Ethel Thompson. Jaison Boyd, formerly of Chilis in Ohio will be the general manager. We are excited to offer Real New Orleans Food in a restaurant that is convenient and cost effective enough to visit every day, Dr. Williams stated. The restaurant will feature a covered patio and will serve Fresh Hot Beignets and Community Coffee from early morning to well into the night similar to Caf Du Monde in New Orleans, he added. Recently named as a 2003 Hot Concept by Nations Restaurant News, Crescent City has found a way share the French Quarter and its unique tastes with the entire country. Crescent City first opened in Houston, Texas in 1997. There are now 15 Crescent City Beignets across the country and over 80 additional units in development. Locally, six additional restaurants are scheduled for Shelby and Desoto Counties. Crescent City Beignets restaurants are approximately 1800-2200 square feet, seat 50-75 guests and serve all 5 day parts.
