Color Me Mine Inks 50 Studio Master License For Japan

Wednesday, September 05, 2001

Color Me Mine Enterprises, Inc. (CMM) (www.colormemine.com) the world-wide Paint-Your-Own-Ceramics Franchise chain, announced today that its majority owner, Japanese entrepreneur Kazuaki Baba, has executed a Master License Agreement for the development of 50 Color Me Mine studios in Japan. The first studio is scheduled to be open in Tokyo in April of 2002.

Michael Mooslin, President and CEO of Color Me Mine Enterprises, Inc, said, "Mr. Baba and I have been working on this transaction for sometime and are pleased to have successfully put a development plan in place. I have recently returned from an Asian real estate evaluation tour and feel confident about the acceptance of the Color Me Mine concept in Japan. We recently opened in Hawaii and have found that the biggest segment of business there is from the visiting Japanese families. We are very excited about our expansion in Japan, which ultimately should become the largest market for us outside of the US. Corporate Secretary, Asian Liaison/Consultant to the Company, Ichiro "Roy" Fujita, President of Torrance based I. Fujita International (IFI), helped facilitate this transaction. IFI will continue to stay involved and assist in the development process.

Kazuaki Baba indicated, "This is truly an activity of the heart. I love the passion and mission of Color Me Mine, which will be of such great value to the Japanese society. I have witnessed the growth and progress of Color Me Mine in the United States and believe the time is right for Japan. We are aggressively setting up the infrastructure necessary to expand rapidly. Three company owned studios will open in 2002 with national franchising starting shortly thereafter. Color Me Mine's continued success internationally and especially in Manila, Hong Kong and Singapore and their plans for future growth in China and Korea has inspired us to proceed quickly." Having initiated the Paint-Your-Own-Ceramics Contemporary Studio concept in 1992, Color Me Mine currently has 58 studios open or under development worldwide including new studios Crystal Lake, IL, Flower Mound, TX and Ontario, CA. Including this newest license CMM now franchises in 13 states and has Master License representation in 23 countries and Puerto Rico.
