Regency Construction Employees Earn Ascr Certifications

Tuesday, February 07, 2006

Disaster Kleenup International, Inc., North America's leading network of quality, independent property damage restoration contractors, today announced that nine employees from Regency Construction, a DKI member company located in Clinton Township, MI, have successfully completed Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration (ASCR) courses.

Brian Ellison, Jason Fabrizio, Jeff Dietz, Jon Reinhold, Mike Lemanski, Nick Franzel, and Richard Couck all completed and passed the exam for the ASCR Mold Remediation Technician Course on January 11, 2006.

By passing this course, these employees are able to understand and remediate even the most complex mold contamination situation. The course weaves together basic information about mold with an understandable overview of its health effects. It then integrates sampling techniques and industry guidelines to lead industry professionals toward better risk assessment of mold contamination situations.

Brian Ellison, Chris Edwards and Nick Bommarito all obtained their ASCR Mold Remediation Project Supervisor certification on January 13, 2006.

The course focus for this certification is on education rather than training due to the fact that a project supervisor must have skills in choosing from a variety of techniques and requirements to best suit a particular project. The course draws heavily on case studies and thinking exercises as well as group dynamics and integration of cost factors into mold remediation. The primary emphasis is on risk assessment, selection of containment and decontamination unit options, communication of information to technicians and clients, and a deeper understanding of the various standards of care in the industry.

"It is impressive that Regency has so many employees who make the extra effort to further educate themselves in all aspects of the restoration industry," commented Dale Sailer, president of Disaster Kleenup International. "In addition to these nine, six others have also earned certifications in the past year, as well as one earning Certified Restorer status. Regency is really doing their part to raise the bar relative to skill levels." ### About Regency Construction The Regency team is skilled in the unique fields of commercial, residential, and multi-family properties and is known for its technical excellence and indisputable integrity.
