Frozen Ropes And Velocity Sports Join Forces In Tulsa, Ok

TULSA, OK | Wednesday, February 01, 2006

Frozen Ropes has partnered with metro Tulsa's premier performance training center, Velocity Sports Performance Training Center, to open a Frozen Ropes within the existing 35,000 SF facility. The Frozen Ropes Training Center will be housed in an attached 12,000 SF baseball and softball center.

Velocity Tulsa owner Scott Glanz, himself a former professional pitcher, is excited about what the partnership of two industry leaders will mean to the Tulsa Metro area. "We have followed Frozen Ropes for a while and feel it is a natural fit for our Velocity Sports Performance model. Frozen Ropes is cutting edge, dedicated to high quality instruction and development of the entire athlete - we share the same traits. The baseball and softball players of the Tulsa metro area now have the one of the best training opportunities in the country under one roof." Tony Abbatine, Frozen Ropes founder is a believer in the Velocity Sports Performance model and the complimentary role the two companies play. "I feel strongly that all the skill instruction in the world is limited by the strength and conditioning level of the athlete. We can teach players how to see the ball better and have a good swing but if they are not strong, the end results are very limited. I see it impact players of all ages, even the professional clients I work with. Scott has created a great vision for athletic and skill training in the Tulsa market and we are excited to be a big part of that as he grows into other markets with his plan." Randy Whisler, former OSU star and a veteran major league coach will run Frozen Ropes at Velocity Sports Performance Training Center. "I am always learning about the game and this is an exciting venture for me to be leading. Frozen Ropes impresses me with their creativity and cutting edge approach to teaching players of all ages. We will be able to expand our coaches knowledge base and increase our programming for players of all ages. Programs like Born to Play, Rookie Class and After School Academy will be great for our young players while the introduction of Visual Mechanics and Showtime Training to some of our older players will be very beneficial. That is just the tip of the iceberg. " Visit the Velocity Sports Tulsa Web Site. www.velocitysp.com/tulsa Visit Frozen Ropes Web Site: www.frozenropes.com
