Monday, April 03, 2006

Nick Veloce, COO, Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience, announced the opening of four new locations in the past 10 weeks. "The diversity of the sites of these four new stores tells an interesting story about the demand and broad consumer appeal of our concept", Veloce said. Teriyaki Experience in MaRS centre - designed as a facility to accelerate the commercialization of new ideas and technologies by converging capital, science and business, the MaRS centre is located in Toronto's renowned "Discovery District", a two sq km area in the heart of downtown that was designated as the city's centre of innovation. Teriyaki Experience is in the main buildings' prestigious food court serving the centre's tenants and visitors. Teriyaki Experience in St. Catharine's Pen Centre shopping mall  - recognized as Niagara region's largest shopping centre, Teriyaki Experience offers healthy Japanese quick-service to food court patrons. Street front Teriyaki Experience in Calgary's Deerfoot Meadows - touted as Calgary's premier retail landmark and one of the largest open-air regional shopping centres in Canada; this high-profile centre was a natural choice for the first Teriyaki Experience street front in western Canada. There are currently 12 street front locations in Ontario and two in Quebec. Teriyaki Experience in Longo's Grocery -. the kiosk-style Teriyaki Experience is incorporated into the Longo's Kitchen deli area of the Winston Churchill and Dundas location in Mississauga and caters to grocery shoppers offering eat-in and take-home menu items. Growth plans, as of the end of the 1st quarter, include commitments for the opening of 14 new street front locations in Ontario and two in Quebec, as well as two new food court locations. Veloce projects that total growth for 2006 will likely reach 25-30 locations. There are close to 100 Made In Japan Teriyaki Experience locations operating worldwide in Canada, Europe and the Middle East in shopping mall food courts, street fronts, office towers, universities, hospitals, airports and theme parks.
