Overland Park Firm Buys Miracle-ear Franchise

KANSAS CITY & SEDALIA | Thursday, May 11, 2006

American Hearing Technologies has bought a Miracle-Ear franchise with two Kansas City-area locations and one in Sedalia. Chris D'Adamo, owner of Overland Park-based American Hearing Technologies, said Tuesday that he had bought the franchise in February from Barb Kruse. Kruse owns another franchise with two Kansas City-area locations, which D'Adamo has an option to buy, he said. The franchise he bought has Miracle-Ear locations at the Antioch Sears Center in Kansas City, North, the Independence Sears Center and in Sedalia. Financial terms of the transaction weren't disclosed. The three locations have seven employees combined, D'Adamo said. D'Adamo owned Olathe Boot Co. for 13 years and sold it in 1999. He has been doing computer consulting since then, he said.
