"My brother is in the National Guard in Iraq and there will be a lot of people behind me." The Fourth of July event, which is open to the public and which is sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive eating, will take place at Nathan's Famous on the corner of Surf and Stillwell avenues in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Those seeking good position are advised to arrive before 11 am.
