Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network Partners With Abctv's extreme Makeover: Home Edition'

Friday, January 05, 2007

The vast geographic coverage and extensive experience helping tens of thousands of homeowners recover from fires and floods has made the Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network (CRDN) the perfect partner for ABC\TV's hit show, 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'. After assisting with several episodes, CRDN has been named a season long participant for the show, cleaning and restoring clothing and other textiles for deserving families across the U.S. In August, CRDN first was tapped to restore more than 800 textile items that were removed from a mold infested house before it was torn down and replaced by a brand new home for a family in Armada Twp., Mich. CRDN then was called upon to restore garments from a family in Toronto, South Dakota, as part of the show's third episode. Within a matter of days, CRDN returned 950 lbs. of bulk laundry as well as 165 pieces of drycleaned textiles. Projects soon followed in southern Indiana, Los Angeles and Logan, UT. At the end of 2006, CRDN had completed 10 episodes, with plans to continue serving the show and its families in 2007. 'We are extremely proud of the opportunity to help 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' provide a fresh start for so many deserving families", said Wayne Wudyka, CEO of CRDN, an international organization of textile restoration specialists serving the insurance industry. "Our organization was founded on the concept of assisting those who have experienced an accident or disaster by restoring garments and textiles, those items that are very personal. CRDN's involvement with the show has been a natural fit for us, from the corporate level down to the local communities where we live and work", Wudyka added. "Just as Extreme Makeover is committed to making a dramatic difference in the lives of well-deserving families, CRDN is dedicated to playing a valuable role when called upon to serve those in need" ,concluded Wudyka. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which has won back-to-back Emmy Awards as Best Reality Program (non-competitive), is in its 4th season on ABC. The program airs at 8/7c on ABC and is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. Denise Cramsey is the executive producer; and David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA. The Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network (CRDN) is an international organization of experienced, highly trained drycleaners who specialize in insurance restoration laundry and drycleaning services for all types of loss. Adept at restoring textiles damaged by fire, smoke, water or exposure to mold and other contaminants, CRDN members offer an effective, efficient and proven solution for insurance professionals. CRDN currently operates in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.
