Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Continues Franchise Acquisition Program

Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: DTG) today announced the acquisition of the Thrifty Car Rental franchise operations in Vermont.

The transaction, effective April 1, includes an off airport rental and parking location serving Burlington International Airport and a local market store. Four other offices in Montpelier/Barre, Waterbury and White River Junction with service to Lebanon Municipal Airport, as well as an office at the University of Vermont providing pre-arranged rentals, are also included. The acquisition will add approximately 400 vehicles to the company's corporate fleet.

The franchise was sold by Tamarack Services of Vermont, Inc. owned by Lowell (Chip) Spillane, Jr. and wife, Shelley Spillane. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
