Europe is the target for BB's Coffee & Muffins, which is planning to roll out its caf concept via international franchisees.
Flexibility, location, unique freshly baked products and a friendly service are key to BB's Coffee & Muffins' 20-year success story in Australia, the UK and Ireland. Having established its credentials as a franchisor with 100 franchisees, BB's Coffee & Muffins is taking its caf concept into new markets aiming for 150 franchisees by the end of 2007. BB's Coffee & Muffins is seeking partners to take its brand forward on the international caf market. Candidates will need to possess local market knowledge including suppliers, manufacturers and property; an appreciation of the dynamics of operating a successful food service business; sufficient funds to develop the brand; experience of financing a growing business, particularly within retail or foodservice; appetite and vision. BB's Coffee & Muffins open stores in high footfall locations such as shopping centres to limit competition, and sell products unique to the brand such as New Zealand ice cream. In the UK and Ireland, BB's has achieved a good level of brand awareness using these techniques. The flexibility of the brand accommodates large format cafs, small cafs seating 20, coffee carts and pod designs. "If there's a shopping centre location that is right for BB's Coffee & Muffins, we will make sure there's a store format to fit," Michele Young, General Manager assures. "For franchisees, BB's Coffee & Muffins offers an opportunity to join a brand that is going places, to build a network with a fast-growing brand dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and so ensuring a healthy and profitable business."
