Mike decided to purchase the Dallas franchise because he wanted to operate a business that would give back to the community. The non-profit element of Creative Tutors was especially attractive. Each franchisee raises money within the community so that tutoring services are available to each child, no matter the family's income level. Working with Mike in the business is Nancy Lloyd. She has a Bachelor's fo Fine Arts in Media, as well as a Masters in Business. She has worked in a variety of careers and know the value of a good education and the flexibility it gives the individual in creating their life. She has two grown children, both of whom have completed college and a teenager still at home. Her older children are proud graduates of public schooling and her youngest has been home schooled and now attends a Pegasus Charter School for Liberal Arts and Sciences. As a parent she has had a children with learning challenges and precocious children with skills beyond their grade level. "The vital key is the individual child - where they are now and equipping the young person with skills that are necessary for success. We want to raise the bar of academic excellence, one person at a time. I have been in the position of having to make the choices for my own children and I understand how important the one to one tutoring can be to keeping the student on track." according to Nancy.
