FPC Workplace Web Poll Data Indicates that Workplace Inter-generational Communication No Longer Interferes with Productivity

Recruiting professionals at FPC, a national executive search firm with more than 70 offices, ask job candidates visiting the site their opinions about workplace issues.

This latest data from the FPC Workplace Web Poll with respondents across all seniority levels and industries indicate that generational differences and miscommunications do not interfere with company productivity.

Of 1077 respondents* across numerous industries and seniority levels finishing the sentence "Do you find that generational differences cause miscommunications at work?" 62% said "No, and we do have employees of various ages." 27% said "Yes, age-related miscommunications do occur but overall it doesn't interfere with productivity." 5% said "No, because our workplace is relatively all the same age." 6% said "Yes, age differences often interfere with a smoothly running workplace" * +/- 3% margin of error "It's good to see that today's workforce is able to work around any generational differences and focus on the overall productivity of the company. As the older generations are in the workforce longer than ever before, it's important that employers find ways to educate employees about communication skills to support greater productivity." said FPC President Ron Herzog.
