Fabutan Sun Tan Studios Kicks Off 5th Annual ‘ray Of Hope' Campaign For Breast Cancer Research

The fifth annual Fabutan Sun Tan Studios "Ray of Hope" campaign, to raise money for breast cancer research kicks off October 1 to coincide with the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

During October, Fabutan customers will be able to give a "Ray of Hope" to help the 1 in 9 Canadian women and their families who are affected by breast cancer, simply by adding 75 minutes to any tanning package they purchase, for only $10. The $10 will then be donated to the Vitamin D Society for breast cancer research. Through this campaign, Fabutan has contributed more than $200,000 to help make a difference in the fight against this disease. This year's campaign goal is $75,000. This year donations to the "Ray of Hope" campaign go towards the Vitamin D Society which provides Canadian researchers with the opportunity to conduct research trials on what effects increased Vitamin D levels have on breast cancer. This year more than 22,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in Canada and 5,300 will die from it.

"Each October, Fabutan studios across the country have worked together to support research done towards finding a cure for this disease," said Fabutan President Doug McNabb.
