Trotter & Morton, Total Comfort Expand Into New Areas

A pair of franchise locations have propelled the Linc Service Network forward by expanding their companies into new cities. Starting this month, Trotter & Morton Facility Services, Inc. and Total Comfort Service Center will begin selling Linc Service to customers in San Antonio, Texas, and Augusta, Georgia, respectively. Trotter & Morton's San Antonio franchise takes the total number of Linc locations in Texas to 12, while Total Comfort is now the third Linc Service Contractor to operate in Georgia. Both franchise locations are the latest to join the growing, 130+-member Network that spans the United States, Canada and Bermuda. Linc Service Contractors follow the disciplines of the Linc System in delivering preventive maintenance as well as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) service and bundled energy solutions to the commercial market. Prior to purchasing its second franchise agreement in the U.S., and fourth thus far, Trotter & Morton had been looking to expand its Calgary, Alberta-based company in the southern U.S. more SIGNIFICANT GROWTH FOR LINC IN SOUTHERN STATES PAGE 2 The company acquired the rights to the Kansas City, Kan., territory in 2003. After considering several options, Trotter & Morton was drawn to the fact that San Antonio the second largest city in Texas is also one of the fastest growing cities in America. Principal Dave Ryan is excited about laying the ground work for the new operation. "Trotter & Morton's Principals look at the geographic size and growth potential when making decisions about the expansion of the company," Ryan said. "San Antonio's market presents an exciting opportunity for all who will be part of this new venture." Total Comfort Principal Jim Reynolds decided to expand into Augusta for both geographic and economic reasons. With three successful franchise locations already in South Carolina (Charleston, Columbia, Greenville), Reynolds saw Augusta just 60 minutes southwest of his company's headquarters in Columbia as a natural extension of Total Comfort's service area. Moreover, Augusta's large medical community and sizeable industrial base are perfect fits for the markets that Total Comfort serves. Reynolds said Garson Hedrick will serve as Selling General Manager for the Augusta office. "The Linc System, which is great for building a profitable business that delivers quality service to our customers, has the infrastructure for continued growth," Reynolds said. "We have established Total Comfort as the leading HVAC service provider in South Carolina and now, partnering with Linc, we will extend that leadership into Georgia. The Linc System provides all the tools to make that happen." "The surest sign of success using the Linc System is the desire and, more importantly, the ability to expand your service business into new areas," said Linc Network, LLC President & CEO Scott Giacobbe. "It's always a great indicator when members of our Network are in a position to expand and explore opportunities like these. We know that Trotter & Morton and Total Comfort will both bring their winning ways to their new markets." Linc Network, LLC, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Atlanta, Ga., is the franchisor of the Linc System, a business format for operating a commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) service business. more SIGNIFICANT GROWTH FOR LINC IN SOUTHERN STATES PAGE 3 Founded in 1979, the Linc Service Network provides energy solutions to commercial building owners worldwide.
