Tom began his career in the food industry at age 15 working in the kitchen of a retirement facility in the Philadelphia area. Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University where he majored in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Upon completing his internship at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ; Tom was hired by the Ground Round. Tom was a General Manager within a year and running the highest volume restaurant in the Philadelphia market. After 5 years with the Ground Round, Tom was hired by TGI Friday's. Tom began his career with Friday's in Cincinnati, OH and then was transferred to Pittsburgh to run their three units in the Pittsburgh International Airport. Tom was awarded several awards for outstanding leadership, achievement, development and profit achievement. During the course of Tom's 20 year career within the hospitality industry Tom was involved in management recruiting with the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Program and was also involved in the mentoring program of students entering the hospitality field.
Tom decided to end his career as a Senior General Manager with TGI Friday's to pursue the dream of owning his own company. Tom enjoys golf, fishing and traveling with his wife Kelley and their two sons Tommy and Kyle.
