Best Emerging Franchise, The Bagel Bar, was opened by Raymond Cowzer in response to a growing demand by working professionals for a healthier option to the standard sandwich, while incorporating a more international taste in the range of fillings and sauces used in The Bagel Bar's unique signature bagel sandwiches. Since opening its doors on Poolbeg Street in Dublin five years ago, demand for its product has been so great that it has expanded its business and currently operates 13 stores throughout Ireland with a further six due to open over the next 12 months. The Bagel Bar has also awarded master licences for the UK and the Czech Republic. "We want our customers to leave our stores 100% satisfied with their experience, and if they don't we would like to know why and how we can improve things. The general public know what they like. Ours is a good business concept with plans for expansion based on repeat business from a regular customer base. We believe this reflects the quality and high standards of our products and continued commitment to customer service,"� says Ray Cowzer.
