The Painted Penguin - Stratford, an activity center for families and children of all ages which features ceramic painting and archeological digs, is growing and moving to a new location within the Mall. The support they have received from the surrounding communities, schools, park districts, and day cares has been outstanding and has given them the opportunity to expand. The new store will have all of the latest Penguin attractions including a new igloo specifically designed by Pittsburgh Corning and J. Doheny Glass Block, Inc. The current store will remain open until July 3, 2006. On July 3 rd The Painted Penguin will open the doors at its new location (lower level wing near Marshal Field's.) "Children and their parents come here and work together as a family to make something special," said Michael Nasatir, The Painted Penguin President/CEO "There's something about our relaxed atmosphere away from everyday pressures that encourages meaningful conversation while they are creating pieces of art." The Painted Penguin Stratford, is one of five activity centers where kids and adults can celebrate their birthdays and other occasions. Other in store activities include Girl Scout and Boy Scout outings, school field trips, summer camp and day care outings, and team building events for organizations. The Painted Penguin Stratford is also mobile, bringing its creative theme to your group or organization.
