Ovenu Franchise Launched In Somerset

Drew Bennett from Minehead is set to clean up in Somerset after launching Ovenu, a professional oven valeting business.

After working in the entertainment industry for the past 25 years and most recently as an entertainments booker for Butlins, Drew, 45, decided it was time to become his own boss.

Ovenu's environmentally-friendly service has attracted more than 100,000 customers across the UK and its franchise model has been replicated in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Drew plans to build up the business, initially working alone but with the aim of employing another member of staff in the future. The franchise will cover Lynton and Lynmouth across the West Somerset area, including Bridgewater and Burnham on Sea.

Since 1994 Ovenu's UK-wide network of more than 100 franchisees have cleaned more than one million ovens, microwaves, and barbeques.

The valeting service involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered equipment, which uses non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.

Drew said: "I had heard of the Ovenu franchise and knew they were proving to be hugely successful in the UK, so decided that was the route I wanted to follow.

"Operating Ovenu in Somerset will allow me to be my own boss, but with the support and experience of an established and respected business.
