"Fastway Couriers has now been trading for 25 years, providing delivery services to more than 95,000 customers worldwide. Fastway Post, which was the first private company to enter the newly deregulated postal market in 1998, celebrates 10 years in business this year." Ellingham said that Fastway's global operations have continued to develop this year, and the increasing revenue streams being generated from overseas National Master Franchises is pleasing.
"That this global operation stems from New Zealand is significant, given our small population, the minor part that New Zealand plays on the world economic stage, and the relatively low value of our dollar." He said that, "Kiwi ingenuity is a key factor in many successful New Zealand companies exporting their products or services, and I believe our business certainly fits the bill on that score." Mr. Ellingham expects to see a continuation of the upward trend in the company's global revenue streams in the coming year.
Originating in Napier New Zealand, Fastway is now the world's largest courier franchise, with over 1600 franchisees. Fastway's overseas franchises take in the countries of Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Spain, Germany, and soon South Africa.
