The Midtown Miami location will host the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet for its grand opening celebration April 16 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Lime Fresh's founder and CEO John Kunkel feels strongly about giving back to the community, which is why the chain continues to partner with a local charity for each grand opening event.
At the grand opening event, Lime Fresh will present a donation of $2,000 to the Society in addition to giving the organization one percent of Lime Midtown Miami's April sales.
Funds will be raised for the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet program with a silent auction and guest donations. There also will be a traditional ribbon cutting and proclamation ceremony. A mariachi band will be there for entertainment, and Dos XX will be giving out beer samples and prizes. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and a taco bar will be served.
Kunkel created Lime Fresh Mexican Grill in South Beach in 2004. The concept has expansion plans of 10 stores or more a year beginning in 2009.
