Poo-pooing The Bad Economy, Pet Butler Has Record-setting Year

Friday, March 20, 2009

Pet Butler, the nation's leading Pet Waste Cleanup and Removal Service, released their 2008 financials today - having thrived despite one of the worst economic years on record. The Dallas-based franchisor ended 2008 with organization-wide revenue exceeding $4.44 million and 130 franchises in 27 states. Revenue grew 20 percent in 2008 while the number of franchises grew 29 percent.

Proud local Pet Butler Sandy Aaron of Gilbert is celebrating her 2nd anniversary, having achieved numerous milestones of her own over these past 2 years: -- Acquired 2 competitors, plus obtained East Valley clients from 3 other competitors.

-- Cleaned up nearly three-quarters of a million "piles" for her Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, and Ahwatukee clients.

-- Received the coveted Golden Pile Award as 2007/2008 New Franchise Partner of the Year.

-- Donated over $4,000 in services, gifts, and cash to local rescue organizations as well as to Cosmo Dog Park in her local Gilbert community.

Matt "Red" Boswell, Founder and Chief Excrement Officer of Pet Butler Franchise Services, had plenty to say about Aaron: "I am so incredibly proud to work with Sandy. She has one of the largest commercial Pet Butler businesses in the country - providing services to several thousand Phoenix area apartment, condo, and HOA residents each week. Most importantly, Sandy gives back to our organization as well as her local community in so many wonderful ways." In 2008 Pet Butler Franchise Services achieved several key milestones: -- Achieved #521 in Inc Magazine's list of the 5,000 Fastest Growing Privately Held companies.

-- Scooped its 50 millionth pile.

-- Held its 2nd Annual Caca Convention in Phoenix, AZ.

-- Ranked #481 on the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 List, and #56 in the Fastest Growing Franchises category.

-- Sold the Dallas area's corporately owned territories for $1.2 million.

-- Implemented a massive technology upgrade project.

-- Launched an accounts receivable and royalties system overhaul.

While 2008 proved to be a fantastic year for Pet Butler, 2009 is off to a great start as well. February was a record-setting month for new customer signups. "Yes, business stinks, but it's definitely picking up!" laughs Red Boswell.
