Maidpro Abandons Workplace Normalities As Ceo And President Move Out Of Their Offices And Into Workstations Next To Employees
(Wednesday, September 16, 2009) -
MaidPro always had an open door policy, but recently the internationally franchised, residential cleaning company sensed an open door policy wasn't enough to encourage collaborative communication throughout the home office and over 100 of its offices. Senior executives are moving out of their offices into the bullpen with the rest of the office staff. Even the company's founders, CEO Mark Kushinsky and President Richard Sparacio, now reside in the center of the office. "I am now more connected then ever with what's happening in our organization," says Kushinsky. "I can have immediate impact on ideas and projects within each department. This also requires less formal meeting time, which is great for time management and encourages community efforts towards one goal." MaidPro has never been about "cube culture or cube farms." The franchisor prefers functional workstations that house ample space to pull up a chair and work together. The company's open floor plan provides a multitude of opportunities to brainstorm, inspire and collaborate on projects of all sizes. For example, plush couches in the lounge areas are great for informal department meetings and the conference room is great for more formal meetings that require more space. "Having the CEO a few desks away might be overwhelming to some, but at MaidPro it's more of a peer environment," says Corey Eridon, Marketing and Communications Specialist. "Now that Mark and Richard are out here with us, we have a more collaborative relationship, which allows us to produce better work for our franchisees and our customers." MaidPro is a Boston-based franchisor of housecleaning services with more than 100 offices in 33 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. MaidPro takes pride in its strong owner community, cutting-edge technology and creative marketing. MaidPro has received the Franchise Business Review's Four-Star Rating, the Franchise 50 awards in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 for owner satisfaction as well as being named one of the Top 50 Franchises for Minorities by USA Today's Franchising Today. MaidPro is a proud member of the International Franchise Association and the New England Franchise Association. The company can be found online at http://www.maidpro.com/.
