Camp owners and leaders-of-the-pack, Dominic and Isel Tiziano are celebrating the grand opening of their delightful digs for dogs with Gulf Coast panache. "Camp Bow Wow is all about the dogs," continued Isel Tiziano, "that's why we've planned festivities dogs can dive into right along with their families. So bring your dog down to the party even if he hasn't had a Camp Bow Wow interview yet. The pups that have passed their interview will be invited to run with the packs in our play yards. Unfortunately those that haven't will have to remain with their parents on a leash." What would a party be without ear-perking attractions? Have a mischievous mutt that wants to run when you want him to walk? Watch as Naples Canine Obedience and Agility trainers lead their charges through a series of complicated maneuvers, and find out how to sign up your pup for some lessons. Browse through exhibitions of photographic pup-traits taken by Julene, and original oil paintings of precious pets done by Rita Re. Learn about the latest doggy fur-do's from a representative of Love Me, Love My Dog Pet Salon or ask Dr. Dominic Andreoli of All Animals Clinic about basic hound health. Puppy parents can also tour the Camp and register for door prizes while their children enjoy doggy inspired activities, have their faces painted and meet Scout, the Camp Bow Wow mascot. Hungry humans can satisfy their cravings with burgers and hot dogs from the Captain's Cabin, sweets from Costco and other tasty treats like mini burritos from Moe's Southwest Grill. Looking to adopt a new pup-mate? Check out our latest Bow Wow Buddies Foster Dog or talk to representatives from the Brooke's Legacy Animal Rescue that will be on hand to discuss their doggy adoption process. WTLT Lite 93.7 radio will be broadcasting live from the festivities from 10 am 12 pm.
In addition to tail-wagg'n activities, dog lovers won't want to miss the Camp Bow Wow Naples Silent Auction to benefit organizations dedicated to improving the life and health of dogs everywhere: Brooke's Legacy Animal Rescue Team, Wee Waggin Rescue and Camp Bow Wow's own Bow Wow Buddies Foundation. "We're fortunate to live in one of the most magnificent cities in the country," said Dominic Tiziano, "and enjoy world-class restaurants and shopping; soft white sand beaches and the wonders of the Everglades. But even with such an abundance of riches, there are hundreds, possibly thousands of dogs in our area who are homeless and hungry and in need of our help." Highlights of the auction include the opportunity to have an 8 x 10" portrait painted of your pet by Rita Re, a $150 value; make a memory with a 5 x 7" pup-trait taken by Photography by Julene, a $150 value; and a gift basket filled with delicacies from Costco.
