Friday, May 14, 2010

D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches and Papa Gino's Pizzeria raised more than $140,000 for Easter Seals and The Genesis Fund by selling more than 140,000 coupon books during a month-long campaign. Guests of D'Angelo and Papa Gino's donated $1 to support the charitable work of these two organizations and in return received coupons worth $45 in savings on D'Angelo and Papa Gino's menu items. Each organization will receive more than $70,000.

"For more than 3 decades, we have been a proud supporter of Easter Seals and The Genesis Fund," said Rick Wolf, president and CEO of D'Angelo and Papa Gino's. "Our guests continue to support our commitment to these two outstanding organizations that help fellow members of our communities." Over the years, D'Angelo and Papa Gino's have raised more than $3.25 million dollars for the organizations. The donations are used by The Genesis Fund for specialized care and treatment of children born with birth defects, genetic diseases and mental retardation. Easter Seals uses the donated dollars to help children and adults with disabilities expand their independence through physical, occupational and speech therapy, summer camps, assistive technology, job training and employment, advocacy and disability information.
