Sir Speedy And Pip Campaign Selected As Finalist For An Echo Award

Thursday, July 08, 2010

The Direct Marketing Association's coveted award honors the best in direct marketing.

Franchise Services, Inc. is pleased to announce that their printing industry brands, PIP and Sir Speedy, have been recognized by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) as Finalists in the International ECHO Award Competition, recognized by many to be the most coveted awards in direct marketing. The results of the competition will be announced on Tuesday, October 12 during the DMA 2010 Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco.

The DMA International ECHO Awards Competition honors the world's best direct marketing campaigns—campaigns that have raised the bar in terms of strategy, creativity and results. Campaigns recognized by ECHO not only exercise best practice in terms of direct marketing and creative execution, they demonstrate insight into audience behavior and earn the involvement of their target markets.

Sir Speedy and PIP's Centralized Direct Mail Program, a targeted integrated direct marketing campaign developed with marketing partner Vertis Communications, combined creative direct mail with personalized URLs, Website landing pages, and email marketing. An online portal for the company's franchisees to manage their participation in the localized monthly mailings fueled the program.

"This campaign represented a major shift in brand position, strategy and media for our Sir Speedy and PIP franchisees," said David Robidoux, vice president of marketing for Franchise Services, Inc., the parent company of Sir Speedy and PIP. "Being recognized by the DMA is a great honor for us that helps our efforts to transition our brands to providers of value-added printing and marketing services that help companies grow." Kathy Calta, chief marketing officer for Vertis Communications, said, "We are proud of this multi-channel marketing program that addressed the need to drive lead generation and customer acquisition for the Sir Speedy and PIP franchise networks. We are excited that this integrated campaign is an ECHO award finalist and incredibly proud of our partnership with Franchise Services."
