Rapidly Growing National Franchise Specializes in Men's Grooming Services

With welcoming support from the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, Roosters Men's Grooming Center (MGC) recently hosted its official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at Eric Town Square. Located at 120 Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury, Roosters MGC is a rapidly growing national franchise that provides personal grooming services for men and boys. The Glastonbury store is the second franchise to open in Connecticut.

The grand opening celebration included demonstrations of Roosters' hair care services, refreshments and a gift basket drawing with prize contributions from Blue Heron Fine Wines, Villarina's Italian Market, Designed Training and Elizabeth Grady.

"We greatly appreciate the warm welcome and assistance that we've received from Glastonbury Chamber members and staff, and from neighboring businesses," said Tammy Clark, Roosters' franchise owner. "We look forward to participating in this wonderful community through a variety of alliances with local businesses, service organizations and non-profits." Beginning in August, Roosters will offer a back-to-school special and a portion of the store's sales will be donated to the Chamber's scholarship program that gives an annual award to a Glastonbury High School senior who is planning on continuing his or her education in business.

Clark, who has a multi-faceted business background, shared that Roosters' philosophy of delivering exceptional customer service attracted her to become a franchise owner.

Gina Yost, who has more than 26 years in the hair care industry, is the store manager at Eric Town Square and oversees a team of experienced full- and part-time stylists.

Roosters MGC combines modern techniques with classic barber services to give men and boys an old fashioned barbershop experience. Customers are invited to relax in oversized leather barber chairs and select from a variety of custom services including precision haircuts and shaves with hot steam towels, deep cleansing facial massages and moisturizing lotions.

Roosters MGC is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. To schedule an appointment or purchase a gift card, call 860-430-9600. Walk-ins are welcome.

Roosters MGC at Eric Town Square is one of more than 30 franchises nationwide. The first Roosters was opened in Lapeer, Mich., in 1999 by Master Barber and Founder Joe Grondin, who strives to give customers the best in men's personal grooming services to ensure the experience brings you back.
