Annette Krautkramer could have used some help a few years ago when she helped her parents move from their home into a smaller place. Now, Krautkramer, 51, will be helping people in similar situations. She opened Caring Transitions last month and will serve Portage, Wood and Marathon counties. Caring Transitions, a Cincinnati-based company founded in 2006, has almost 75 locations in operation or under development throughout North America. The business specializes in senior relocation and transition to a smaller home, retirement community, nursing home or the home of a friend or relative. Among other services, it helps clients selling a home by distributing items to family members or selling them in estate sales, or cleaning the home for sale. "What we want to accomplish is to help people and their families transition to a new lifestyle as easily as possible," Krautkramer said. While the three counties in central Wisconsin will be her primary territories, Krautkramer said that her business could expand up to the Milwaukee or Minneapolis areas.
