Local Franchise Brings At-home Care To Leesburg

Local entrepreneur Kaltoon Essa is lending a helping hand to the community following the recent opening of her franchise business, Home Helpers, which opened on Jan. 15, in Leesburg. Founded in 1997, Home Helpers is the nation's leading senior care franchise specializing in non-medical and personal care. Essa said it's a great option when providing in-home care for patients who don't want to leave their home.

"We basically try to keep individuals in their community while helping them to keep their independence," she said, adding that the service isn't just for senior citizens. "We'll send a caregiver to see and take care of people who are injured or recovering from illness, including new mothers."
