Boston's first 16 Handles' location will open in the Town of Brookline at 1309 Beacon St. next to Trader Joes. The new store is slated to open in November 2012.
With 25 locations in 5 states, 16 Handles is known for setting the pace for the frozen yogurt industry by allowing consumers to Flaunt Their Flavor. Stores offer 16 flavors of self-serve frozen yogurt, an endless toppings bar stocked fresh with traditional and chef-inspired toppings, and innovative menu items including Whip Ups, blended frozen yogurt creations. 16 Handles is known for its fun and "chill" lounge-like atmosphere that encourages guests to stay awhile.
"All signs show that frozen yogurt will continue to be a hot commodity and an industry that isn't close to slowing down," said Solomon Choi, founder and CEO of 16 Handles. "Those that choose to open a 16 Handles immediately become part of our growing family, and we support each and every franchise operator every step of the way from site location and build out to marketing and operations. We've cut our teeth on the toughest market to crack - New York City - and we're excited to take what we've learned about the frozen yogurt consumer and translate that into success as we continue to grow and expand."
