Blue Chip Pet Care is currently offering franchise opportunities in select markets across the country. Hunter says "when I developed the business I envisioned a highly professional full service pet company that provides a total turn key service to the customer. Our services are focused around the three core principles that I believe any pet owner and pet would appreciate. Reliability, exceptional customer service and a high standard of professionalism." The name Blue Chip Pet Care was chosen becuase of the pet industries 'recession proof' reputation. Chris Conner owner of Franchise Marketing Systems says "the pet franchise industry is big...and getting bigger. Not only is the Pet Franchise business a lucrative one, but people also enjoy the idea of spending their time working with pets, things they love and something they are truly passionate about." During the first quarter of 2012, Blue Chip Pet Care has added an Area Developer and Franchise Director Alan George for the states of Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Blue Chip Pet Care will also be opening franchise locations in Beverly, MA and Olive Branch, MS this year. Alan George as mentioned on Bark Soup, a pet radio program that is airing two days a week states "92% of pet owners spent equal or more money on their pet during a recession and for 2009/2010 71.4 million homes own a pet." Blue Chip Pet Care seems to have their 'paws' on the prize and they are looking forward to sharing their model and business philosophy with others in hopes to develop a name that resonates with both two-legged and four-legged consumers across the nation.
