Good news: Help is on the way as five Men In Kilts locations add snow removal to their list of services. Plans are to have full schedules this winter season in Boston, New Jersey, Seattle, Vancouver, and Edmonton.
Boston Franchise Owner Judy Briggs says, "We are excited to offer the Boston market our snow removal service this winter. No one really likes shoveling snow and with the amount of snow we usually get here in Boston, we are hoping we will be very busy this winter!" For some of these cities there is definitely no shortage of snow. Boston gets approximately 43.8 inches of snow each season, where New Jersey can see up to 40-50 inches of snow in the North and 18-30 inches in the South. North of the border is no different with Edmonton averaging about 48.6 inches of snow each year. In Vancouver and Seattle, it's a bit less predictable.
New Jersey Franchise Owner TJ Hale says, "Our window cleaning service has slowed down for the season. I think adding snow removal to our gutter cleaning service will be a great opportunity to manage the seasonality of our business. And seeing a guy in a kilt shoveling snow will probably turn even more heads than our window cleaning service. What can I say, you"ve got to be tough to wear a kilt in winter!" Chris Carrier, Franchise Owner in Calgary and Edmonton, has had great success with snow removal in Calgary. "With the success we have had in Calgary I knew it would be a good idea to bring those services into Edmonton as well," says Carrier.
CEO Tressa Wood says, "It was always our vision to add multiple services under the Men In Kilts brand. Bringing snowing removal to these five cities is great way to provide service to our customers year round. We have the ability to adapt our services depending on the requirements of our markets quite easily. I think all our locations will be very successful with snow removal, as we"ll deliver the same great service we pride ourselves on." As most people do not enjoy the task of shoveling snow, schedules are booking up fast. Make sure to call in and get an estimate or book service right away before schedules fill up. To all the markets currently not being serviced, do not worry Men In Kilts is coming soon.
-30- About Men In Kilts Men In Kilts was started in 2002 by Nicholas Brand, a Vancouver based Scotsman who fashioned a hand-sewn kilt and put a visual to the otherwise faceless window cleaner.
By 2009, the location had grown to over one million in revenue and caught the attention of Tressa Wood, former VP of Operations from 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Tressa joined the team as CEO and began the process of franchising the company. Men In Kilts now has locations across North America and plans to expand to every major metro by 2017.
Positioned to serve the growing demands of the multi-billion dollar cleaning and building maintenance industry, the Men In Kilts concept is about building a national brand that delivers an unparalleled level of professional service to both the residential and commercial markets.
