Cups Frozen Yogurt " That's Hot " Opens Its Fourth New York Location

CUPS Frozen Yogurt, the beach-themed self-serve fro yo concept, will celebrate the grand opening of its fourth New York location on October 15 at 160 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station, New York. The CUPS Huntington Station opens to the public at 4 p.m. and will offer free frozen yogurt until 7 p.m.

Huntington Station is the 4th New York CUPS location and second on Long Island. Other locations include recently opened Nanuet as well as Yonkers.

During the grand opening week, each Huntington Station customer will be given a scratch off card, which contains prizes such as iPhone covers, blankets, pens, glow-in-the-dark wristbands, and CUPS coupons. One lucky winner will receive free frozen yogurt for a year.

Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey in 2010, the brand has taken the frozen yogurt industry by storm, becoming a hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own frozen yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.

The Exchange, a Yahoo Finance blog, recently named CUPS as one of The Most Popular Fast-Food Outlets You Haven't Heard Of (Yet). With 19 locations in New York, New Jersey, California, and Florida, CUPS has signed more than 12 area development agreements representing approximately 30 franchise units.

According to CUPS co-founder Rick Barbrick, CUPS is much more than great frozen yogurt�CUPS was designed around the experience.

"It's more of a club like experience. We pump out club dance music at volumes that create a highly energetic vibe, a lounge-type design with couches, ottomans, and eclectic murals; and cast members with infectiously fun personalities. It's the complete experience that gives us that edgy vibe versus an everyday yogurt bar or ice cream shop experience," says Barbrick.
