Smoothie King Targets Atlanta For Franchise Growth

Smoothie King Franchises, Inc., the premier smoothie and nutritional lifestyle center, announced today it is targeting Atlanta for franchise expansion. The company, which will unveil its new store design next month in South Florida, is aiming to open 25 new locations in the market over the next five years.

Smoothie King currently has 44 locations in the Atlanta market with three locations planned to open in the next six months in Alpharetta, Suwanee and Buford. Smoothie King is currently seeking qualified franchisees to develop single- and multi-unit agreements in additional communities within the metro area.

Local Smoothie King franchisee Seigfried Jones spent more than 17 years working in parks and recreation before opening his first Smoothie King Dec. 30 in Tyrone, Ga.

"A few years ago, my children, who were both teenagers at the time, frequented Smoothie King in metro Atlanta and introduced me to the product. It was not only tasty, but also nutritious. I was sold from day one," Jones said. "I've always wanted to own my own business. Smoothie King plans to add 940 new franchised and corporate locations domestically over the next four years.
