Home Instead Care Franchise Expanding To Create 50 Jobs

Tuesday, May 06, 2014

Up to 50 new jobs will be created with the expansion of an award-winning Shropshire homecare franchise.

Home Instead Senior Care (East Shropshire) is run by Jason Warren and Jenny Ballantine, and the company is now looking to recruit new caregivers to cope with a huge increase in demand for its services.

The jobs will be created in the Newport, Gnosall and Bridgnorth areas, and the company claims it is offering an entirely different approach to the more traditional homecare service.

The firm is the latest to recruit as industries in the care, services and manufacturing sectors experience an upturn following the recession.

Mr Warren said his firm concentrates on the quality of care it gives and has reaped the benefits.

He said: "We have seen a real growing demand for our services thanks to the high standards we set our staff and the quality of the support we deliver. We are now embarking on a targeted and focused recruitment process to boost our workforce in key areas of the county, and we"re looking forward to meeting potential candidates who come forward.

"Our approach is completely different, and that's why we believe we have developed such an excellent reputation. It is more about matching the right caregiver to the right client "" so we find out everything we can about each new client we take on, and then work hard to find a caregiver that suits their specific needs, so that they share common areas of interest and can form an immediate bond.

"We don"t do 15-minute whistle-stop calls. We are committed to building a strong relationship with our clients and their families to focus on all their needs, both physical and emotional, to help each person stay in their own home for as long as possible."

Mr Warren said the firm offers services from one hour a day to round-the-clock support, and staff are given Alzheimer's and dementia training.

He added: "This recruitment drive is a great opportunity for people who want to make a difference, who are looking for a rewarding and flexible role, and who have the time and energy to be part of a company that is changing the way people think about homecare."

Ray Hickinbottom, of Shropshire Federation of Small Businesses, today said sentiment in the local economy was on an upward curve. He said: "Partly that is manifesting itself in job creation, but I"m also seeing an increase in the number of people starting a business, which to me is another sign that we are coming fully out of recession."
