Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers Opens In Rockwall, Texas

Rockwall residents can now enjoy a fresh handcrafted pizza, craft beer and much more at the newest addition to the community, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers.

Mellow Mushroom Rockwall opened at 550 E. Interstate 30 on Monday, May 26. The owners of this location Jim, Sharon and Brian Aubuchon, are thrilled to bring Mellow Mushroom to the Rockwall community. "Rockwall is a great community, and we feel that the community will enjoy a new and exciting atmosphere, along with great food," states Sharon.

The menu features a variety of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers, Options for vegetarians, vegans, kids, and those on a gluten-free plan are also available.

Each Mellow Mushroom location is a unique, one of a kind design, with the same core menu. From the open kitchen to behind the bar, local trends and flair are incorporated into the settings, designed and created to reflect each unique location.

The special design of this Mellow begins with the architecture, which references boats and a light house in its shape but with a contemporary style. A 30-foot mushroom is carved into the facade. Enter through the front door, and Mel, Mellow Mushroom's beloved mascot, greets guests along the way.

Enjoy a variety of seating areas including two bars, one of which is anchored by a life size mermaid, on a seasonal porch, at a front side seat for the kitchen show, or enjoy the upper level , which sports a lighthouse themed private deck that features breathtaking views of the lake.

Additional notable features of this Mellow include a 20-foot diameter chandelier made of wakeboards, lakeside collectibles, custom prints that demonstrate what is a "Mellow Life" and sunshine inspired murals that contain lyrics. There are also over 1000 sunglasses on display in an artfully arrayed fashion.

Guitar string inspired railings guide you to the upper landing with oversized translucent guitars as screens to reveal a space full of glimpses of curious and quaint settings. Book a private party at the Disco Shroom located in the upper level lighthouse, and your party is sure to produce some Saturday night fever! Wherever you settle for a Mellow experience, this newest mellow locale features a wonderland of fun. Guests should explore the depths of details and surprises at each and every turn.
