Cottage Inn Pizza Returns To Howell

Cottage Inn pizza fans in Howell have reason to cheer again.

A new Cottage Inn Gourmet Pizza franchise has opened at 1245 E. Grand River Ave., about a decade after Howell's first Cottage Inn store closed.

Clint and Heather Rottermond own the pizza shop, which officially opened May 31 and offers dine-in, carryout and delivery service.

The couple have always liked Cottage Inn's offerings and believe Howell is the ideal place for a new store.

"We love the franchise so much and love the product. We really believe in it because they are big on high-quality toppings, high-quality cheese," Heather Rottermond said.

Cottage Inn serves pizza, sandwiches, salads and desserts, and it offers gluten-free options.

The Rottermonds live in the Howell area - Heather is a middle school teacher, and Clint owns a landscaping business.

"We love the community, and because we live in the community, we want to support the community," Heather Rottermond said. "We love anything local, and Cottage Inn is a local Michigan franchise." Cottage Inn was founded in 1948 in Ann Arbor and has more than 40 stores operating in Michigan and Ohio.

The Howell store is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to midnight Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays.
