Tilted Kilt Pub Franchise Plans To Open In East El Paso Before It Opens Its Previously Announced West Side Location.

The El Paso franchise holder for Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, a Phoenix area-based chain of sports bars and restaurants, plans to open an East El Paso location before it opens its previously announced West Side location.

"We are disheartened to hear that some fans were upset by the move of our first location from the West Side to the East Side, but do not worry "" there will certainly be a Tilted Kilt on both sides of the city, only difference is the East will open first," the franchise owners reported on their Facebook page. The location is listed at 1501 N. Zaragoza at Pellicano Drive.

The franchise holder, a group headed by Las Cruces restaurateur Teo Regalado, announced in April plans for a Tilted Kilt at 955 Sunland Park by September. Construction has not begun on that location.

A Tilted Kilt spokeswoman said the group is waiting to complete the East Side land sale before making a formal announcement.
