Building Maintenance Management Company Appoints Tim Spink Vice President; Spink to Lead Company's Nationwide Franchise Expansion Efforts

City Wide Maintenance, America's premier building maintenance management company, today announced the appointment of Tim Spink to the role of vice president. In his new role, Spink will lead City Wide's corporate franchise team in spearheading growth in new markets, supporting existing franchisees, and identifying new franchise partners who align with City Wide's vision for success.

"Welcoming a leader of Tim's caliber to City Wide is a testament to the strength of our company and proven franchise system," said Jeff Oddo, CEO and president of Lenexa-based City Wide. "He has a proven track record of success in each of his past roles. We look forward to leveraging his collective experience in business management and development to drive growth for City Wide in Kansas City and throughout the country." In his new position as vice president, Spink looks to build on the momentum the company has achieved since the beginning of the year, which includes new office openings in major U.S. markets. With seven franchise locations projected to open before the end of 2015, more than 50% of City Wide's available territories have been sold. Spink looks to advance the company's franchise growth goals by awarding the remaining territories within the next eight to ten years.

Prior to accepting his new role with City Wide, Spink owned and operated a consulting business that specialized in serving healthcare companies with product launches and sales channel development. He also served as president and CEO of MEBS, Inc., a Michigan-based insurance provider. Spink played a key role in successfully integrating MEBS, Inc. with its sister company, Associated Mutual, to form one operating unit. In addition to his prior roles with Spink Consulting and MEBS, Inc., Spink served as vice president of sales for Metavante Corporation, a leading provider of banking and payment technologies to over 8,000 financial services firms and businesses worldwide.

Looking to pursue a new challenge, Spink discovered City Wide while exploring business ownership opportunities. He was in the research phase of the franchisee discovery process when he learned City Wide was looking to appoint a new vice president. The former vice president, Tom Stone, had announced plans to transition into the role of CEO coach, a newly formed position designed to guide franchisees through the process of growing and developing their business. Soon thereafter, Spink sent in his resume, was offered and accepted the position, and relocated to Kansas City to join the corporate team.

"The opportunity to work with City Wide was one I couldn"t pass up," said Spink. "I am looking forward to working closely with the support team and franchise partners to advance our franchise growth goals in the months and years to come." City Wide has made a name for itself in major U.S. cities by streamlining commercial facilities and maintenance management of more than 20 services through a collection of service providers and alliance partners, including floor care, window washing, janitorial supplies, parking lot maintenance, and several others. Taking the onus off building owners and property management companies that typically have to choose separate companies for each task, City Wide eases the selection and management processes for its clients.

Beyond the loyalty it builds with clients, City Wide plays an important role within the local economies it serves by putting business back into the community. Smaller, independent, and locally owned maintenance companies pair up with City Wide, benefitting from the professional demeanor City Wide brings to the table with its clients.
