Famous Dave's of America, Inc. Announces CEO Transition

Famous Dave's of America, Inc. (DAVE) today announced that Ed Rensi has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Mr. Rensi joined the Famous Dave's Board in January 2014, and agreed to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer in February 2014 following the unexpected resignation of his predecessor. Mr. Rensi will continue to serve on the Company's Board of Directors and will lead the Board's efforts in overseeing the Company's international expansion efforts. The Board has appointed Adam J. Wright, an independent director of the Company since 2013, to serve as interim Chief Executive Officer while the Board conducts a search for a permanent CEO with the assistance of Heidrick & Struggles, Inc., a leading executive search firm.
