T.G.I. Fridays Names Metz Group as U.S. Franchise Group of The Year

The Metz Group took home the top honor at the 2017 T.G.I. Friday's Owners Conference, winning U.S. Franchise Group of the Year. The national winners were announced during an Awards Gala at the annual T.G.I. Friday's Owners Conference held in Dallas, Texas.

"The T.G.I. Friday's Awards are highly competitive and selected from over 450 different domestic franchisees nationwide," said Rick Sell, Vice President of Operations for the Metz Group. "This honor demonstrates our dedication to high-quality customer service and operational excellence." The Metz Group owns of 11 franchise locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The US Franchise Group of the Year Award was presented to the Metz Group for outstanding sales, development and contribution to the business. Other Metz Group award winners include Mary Shead (Tom's River, NJ franchise), who was recognized as US Franchise General Manager of the Year for her outstanding achievement in sales, profit and customer service.

More than 1,000 T.G.I. Friday's general managers, corporate leaders, franchise owners, operators and supplier partners representing dozens of countries gathered for the annual conference. The highly sought after awards are analyzed by Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc., a privately held Minneapolis-based parent company of T.G.I. Friday's, and are based on financial sales results, restaurant reviews and cleanliness scores.
