Landon Whalen lives with Fatty Acid Hydroxylase-associated Neurodegeneration, or FAHN, a rare and progressive disorder of the nervous system that causes problems with movement, visibility and speech that begin in childhood and adolescence.
Landon loves to play Super Mario, dance, listen to music, drink root beer and eat cheesies.
His most heartfelt wish is to create his own adventures with his family in a new travel trailer.
Now, thanks to Islander RV, Expedia Cruise Ship Centres and the Children's Wish Foundation, that dream is a reality.
Edie Newton of the Children's Wish Foundation says with kids like Landon, you can see the excitement on their faces and how much granting the wish will benefit them.
Huge thanks to Expedia Cruise Ship Centers who raised the funds to grant Landon's wish, and to Islander RV for providing the trailer! #YYT #stjohnsnl #wishesworkwonders @CBCNL @StJohnsTelegram @VOCMNEWS
The Whalen family says their first plan is to have a sleep over in the trailer in their backyard and have a night full of Mario and snacks.
