Fifth Pirtek In Chicago Area Will be Mobile Only

Pirtek, the world's leading industrial hose-replacement service, has added a mobile-only franchise to its four existing locations in Chicago.

Ken Adair owns all five franchises fanned out across the Windy City to serve its many thriving industries.

"We've been operating in that territory for a while now, but we wanted to make it official by setting up this location," Adair said. "We'll go after new business by continuing to do the work we've always done to gain customers."
The new location, Pirtek Gurnee, operates under the company's Tier 2, "mobile only" model. A Tier 2 franchisee can open a Pirtek at a lower cost and keep inventory in a small warehouse or storage facility while leasing two Mobile Service Vehicles. The standard, Tier 1 model requires a franchisee to open a full Service & Supply Center staffed with six team members and a minimum of two Mobile Service Vehicles.

Adair said that the Tier 2 program will give him time he needs to find the right piece of property for Pirtek Gurnee when it upgrades to a physical location. "Real estate in Chicago can be scarce at times, so I'll be using this time to find just the right spot for a new Service & Supply Center," he said.
