About Cost Cutters Family Hair Care

In 1963, Joe Francis opened the first The Barbers Hairstyling for Men salon in Minnesota. Five years later, the salons began styling women's hair. In 1982, Francis diversified even more, founding family salon Cost Cutters. Twelve Cost Cutters centers opened that first year, and six years later, the 300th salon opened. Today, Cost Cutters is owned by Regis Corporation, a Minneapolis-based company that also owns a host of other hair salons, including City Looks, Regis Salons, Supercuts and We Care Hair.

    About State Street Barbers

State Street Barbers is not your typical franchise opportunity. Unlike most franchises offered in the men's grooming segment, we do not desire to be the next large discount haircut franchise chain, with hundreds of locations that rush customers in an out like an assembly line operation. Nor do we aspire to be the next "male salon" that misses the mark on what most men want by offering services such as pedicures and paraffin wax hand treatments. Our discipline in staying true to our value proposition and focusing on our strengths has allowed us to excel in the market and evolve quickly into an award winning and recognized concept. It is this same discipline that will now propel us forward and help drive our growth in the world of franchising. We are committed to ensuring that franchise owners are selected carefully, as well as trained and supported properly, in order to maintain the integrity of our brand. Though relatively young, our business model, and its singular focus on genuinely meeting the needs of our male customers, has allowed us to establish a strong and loyal following in multiple markets and provided a compelling proof of concept for further expansion. Our objective now is to create a tight-knit franchise community to help extend this same level of service and quality to untapped markets while staying true to our brand promise and upholding the ideals and principles that have been the hallmark of our concept to date. When you are selected to join our team, you actually become part of the State Street Barbers family a small, tight-knit group committed to building something special and helping the entire team reach its full potential.
