In 1999 husband and wife team Michael and Nikki McQuillan opened their first streat cafe in Belfast. Their vision was to develop the streat as the best known and most successful cafe concept to come out of Ireland by delivering consistently great food and coffee with award winning service in contemporary surroundings Since developing their successful formula into a franchise and investing heavily in the business while developing a substantial management team, the streat has rapidly become Ireland's fastest growing Cafe franchise. Franchisees are developing successful businesses within their streat cafes and growing their businesses beyond the cafe door by creating substantial outside catering and food delivery elements. Franchisees are supported and guided by the franchise support team in this, more than a cafe approach to business development. With 30 Cafe Outlets currently established and more opening, throughout Ireland, the streat is now launching its innovative "more than a cafe" business model into Great Britain and beyond.
