Tunex was founded in 1972, and the first service center began operating in 1974. The public company began franchising in 1975 and has more than 25 company and franchisee-owned service centers in operation. The Tunex franchise opportunity includes both a conversion option (converting an independent service center to a Tunex franchise) and independent franchise units.
About Kennedy Transmission
If you have the motivation, drive, and capabilities to operate and manage your own business, you owe it to yourself to fully investigate ownership of a Kennedy Transmission, Brake and Auto Service store.
We do not require that our franchisees possess previous transmission shop experience. Previous business experience or exposure to the automotive service business segment is highly desirable but also not required.
