Parmasters was founded in 1999 by Tod Wilcock, Tom Matzen, and Scott Hazledine--all golf enthusiasts. The indoor facilities are designed as practice and training centers, featuring driving bays, putting greens, and sand traps, as well as golf simulators. Centers are climate-controlled and range from 2,000 to 30,000 square feet.
TGA is a parent-funded program so franchisees who partner with more schools see increased profits and impact because they have access to more parents. TGA franchisees are successful partnering with schools because:
1. TGA is a youth development program that uses golf as a conduit for teaching life skills, physical education and academic lessons such as math and science. School administrators usually don't care about golf but they care tremendously about these educational components that are central to the TGA program.
2. New franchisees receive on-site training, which covers:
a. The proper vernacular to speak with school administrators.
b. Knowledge of the after school and golf industries.
c. Experience going through the process of partnering with schools.
d. An in-depth analysis of TGA's program and business.
3. Franchisees have instant credibility due to:
a. TGA's experience running 5,000+ successful sessions.
b. TGA's brand recognition and professional marketing materials.
c. TGA's corporate partners in both the golf and education industries.
d. TGA's national recommendations and references.
4. TGA's program includes character development, rules & etiquette and educational lessons as demonstrated through our TGA Student Handbook.
5. The TGA curriculum is aligned with several states' standards for physical education. The TGA Experience, with our 5E's Teaching Objectives, are aligned with classroom structures.
6. TGA's marketing materials were designed by our professional branding company to be informative and effective.
7. TGA's Curriculum Consultant, who has over 20 years of experience in public schools, provides guidance and strategies for partnering with schools.
8. TGA works in association with the TGA Golf Foundation to run programs at schools that only work with non-profit organizations.
9. Franchisees have 24/7 support on all aspects of their business, including:
a. Getting into high priority schools/districts
b. Navigating bureaucracies
c. Overcoming obstacles and barriers to entry
d. Utilizing other Territory Owners to discuss best practices
