    About LaMar's Donuts

    Ray Lamar found his way into the donut business at the age of 17, working as a fryer at a Kansas City, Missouri, shop. Lamar made his way up to being a partner in the company, but World War II cut the partnership short. Upon his return, Lamar earned a degree in economics and began a career as a stockbroker, but donuts remained the business he truly loved.

    In 1960, nearly 30 years after first manning the fryer, Lamar opened his first LaMar's Donuts shop in Kansas City. The company began franchising in 1993 and is now based in Englewood, Colorado.

These donut lovers line up in the early morning, around the block in the anticipation of creating and tasting their own creation. The FRACTURED PRUNE DONUT SHOPPE is a Specialty shop for donuts. What makes these just so special is the way they are created by you. "You create em, we make em!" Our donuts come out hot and crispy on the outside and light and moist on the inside. We then take the donuts and dip them in any one of our homemade glazes of your choice, which you can top with an assortment of delectable toppings. These donuts are loved by kids of all ages. There is nothing sweeter than being able to create and have a HOT DONUT at anytime of the day. Many inquiries have been made to expand our locations, so that the donuts could be more than a tradition for people. They could be an everyday indulgence. So with great pride, we have decided to franchise.
